City hosting hazardous waste collection

ROSWELL, Ga. -- Roswell's Environmental/Public Works Department will hold a household hazardous waste collection event next month.

Residents are invited to bring their hazardous materials to the Roswell Sanitation Department on Saturday, Apr. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon. Proof of residency will be required.

Acceptable items include oil-based paint, paint thinner, pesticides, undiluted pool chemicals, household cleaners, fluorescent bulbs, propane gas cylinders, mercury thermometers, household batteries, aerosols and used motor oil filters.

The Roswell Sanitation Department is located at 1810 Hembree Road.
