ROSWELL, Ga. -- Roswell Rotary is gearing up for its annual golf fundraiser -- with a twist.

This year, for the first time ever, the event will include a tennis tournament as well.

The golf and tennis fundraiser will be held Monday, Sept. 9 at Country Club of Roswell. Proceeds will benefit more than 20 local charities.

"The addition of a tennis tournament is a natural progression for us, as we are nearing capacity for our golf fundraiser," tournament chairman Theo Keyserling said in a statement. "It also gives an opportunity for those not interested in playing golf to participate in the best charity event for the North Fulton Community."

More than 500 players participate in the tournament every year. The event typically raises about $170,000.
