'Bring One for the Chipper' in January

ROSWELL, Ga. -- Once the ornaments and lights have been taken off your Christmas tree, give a gift of nature and turn that tree into mulch.

Every year, the Georgia Bring One for the Chipper program chips used Christmas trees into useful natural materials. Keep Roswell Beautiful has joined forces with the program to give residents a local, convenient way to get rid of their trees.

Christmas trees will be collected at Roswell's two Home Depot stores from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7. Trees will not be accepted before this date. They will be chipped into mulch and available for delivery from Davey Tree.

Everyone who participates will go home with a free gift of seed packets from Ferry-Morse Seed Company.
