Fulton County Dominates SAT with Six Schools in Top 25

ATLANTA -- Fulton County's statewide dominance of the SAT continues this year, with more than a third of its high schools scoring within the top 25 in the state.

In addition, reports from the College Board show that Northview High School has the highest SAT score in Georgia among schools with large numbers of test-takers.

* Northview High School, Duluth -- 1728 (no. 3)
* Alpharetta High School -- 1719 (no. 5)
* Chattahoochee High School, Alpharetta -- 1687 (no. 9)
* Milton High School -- 1650 (no. 17)
* Riverwood International Charter School, Sandy Springs -- 1640 (no. 18)
* Roswell High School -- 1627 (no. 21)

While Northview technically ranks third in the state, the two higher-scoring schools had only seven and 20 students, respectively, taking the test.

River Eves Elementary Connects Parents

ROSWELL, GA -- On Sept. 9 and 13, parents of the students at Roswell's River Eves Elementary School attended Curriculum Night, where they were introduced to a special new online communication tool implemented by the school.

This new Home Access Center provides parents with useful information about their children's school days, including assignments, attendance, discipline and grades. The system also features test information and school report cards on the CRCT and ITBS.

Introducing the Home Access Center boosted parent attendance at Curriculum Night to record numbers.
