Jessica Galli stopped by the school to show off the bronze medal she won in the women's 800m at the 2012 London Games and to share her stories about the Paralympics.

The track star, who recently celebrated her 29th birthday, has made it to every Paralympics since the 2000 Sydney Games. She has won a career total of seven Paralympic medals, including gold in the women's 400m at the 2008 Beijing Games.

Galli became a paraplegic after a car accident when she was only 7 years old. She was named the U.S. Olympic Committee's 2007 Paralympian of the Year.

According to teamusa.org, Galli is engaged to Gavin Cloy, a PE teacher at Sweet Apple Elementary. Cloy is a fellow Paralympian -- he was a member of the U.S. men's basketball team at the 2004 Athens Games.
