River Eves to host new student ice cream social

ROSWELL, Ga. -- River Eves Elementary has planned a free ice cream social to welcome all kindergarten and new students to the school.

The event will be at the front pavilion of East Roswell Park on Wednesday, Aug. 10 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Students will have the opportunity to meet each other, play on the playground, and share popsicles and ice cream, while parents can talk to PTA leaders and school administrators, including principal Neil Pinnock.

"Our annual new student and kindergarten ice cream social is a lot of fun and a way to get a head start on school for the parents of our rising kindergarten and new students," Pinnock said. "Our PTA and staff are excited to meet our newest Eagles and their families."

River Eves spirit wear will be available for purchase at the event, and parents can also sign up for the PTA.

East Roswell Park is located at 9000 Fouts Road.
