Wonder & Think Wednesdays: Heaven is For Real-For Kids Book Review

Wonder & Think Wednesdays: Heaven is For Real-For Kids Book Review

After hearing several rave reviews, [as well as having my own peaked interest from skimming through this book in the grocery store aisle, lol] I was excited to finally read, and have an opportunity to review “Heaven Is For Real-For Kids.”

Let me first start off by saying, in my opinion, no book is more honestly reviewed than through the eyes of its intended audience. In this case, my co-reviewers were my two little guys, ages 3 and 4.  So this evening before bed, I called the troop in to snuggle up to the E-book version on what my youngest refers to as mommy’s “pomputer.”

Immediately, their interests were sparked by the cover page that showed the happy faced little boy and author of this amazing true-story, Colton Burpo-who, recalls his trip to Heaven after slipping into Acoma during surgery, and shares his out-of-this-realm journey with his parents after his “return.”

Medlock Bridge Elementary students raise $250 for Mimosa Elementary

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. -- A third grade class at Medlock Bridge Elementary School in Johns Creek recently learned how good it feels to give to their neighbors.

The students in Ms. Serafin's class collected more than $250 in gift cards for the children who attend their sister school, Mimosa Elementary, in Roswell.

In order to raise the money, students performed work around their houses, helping their parents during the busy holiday season. Their parents paid them for their efforts, and the students set aside a portion of their earnings for their friends at Mimosa.

The gift card collection tied in perfect to Ms. Serafin's students' lessons in economics.
