FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- The deadline to apply for a transfer among Fulton County's 19 Open Enrollment schools is 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15.

Open Enrollment is part of Georgia's Quality Basic Education Act, a 2009 referendum that allows the parents of K-12 students in Fulton County to enroll in another school within the district if space permits.

Parents will be notified if their children are selected for a transfer by Saturday, June 30. If chosen, parents must provide their own transporation to get their kids to the new schools.

To apply for a transfer, parents must fill out the necessary forms. The paperwork can be found online or can be picked up at six different locations throughout the county:
