Roswell to Hold Meeting on Historic Gateway Project

ROSWELL, GA -- The public is invited to attend an informational meeting on the City of Roswell's Historic Gateway Project on Thursday, Mar. 3 at 5:30 p.m. at Founders Square (555 South Atlanta Street, Suites A-100 & A-200, 30075).

The project's primary goal is to make multimodal transportation and safety improvements along the Atlanta Street corridor; this will include the removal of the outdated reversible lane system.

A secondary aim is to improve operations and safety at the intersection of Atlanta Road and Riverside Road/Azalea Drive. This project will also increase the economic vitality of the area.

Ultimately, the project will examine a number of concepts and alternatives, and develop a solution that best meets the needs of people who rely on the Atlanta Street corridor every day. The City of Roswell seeks context sensitive solutions (CSS) that balance community, aesthetic, historic and environmental values with transportation safety and economic development.

This is the first public information meeting about the Historic Gateway Project, and the city would appreciate the input of Roswell residents, business owners and commuters. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss any issues, concerns or ideas.
