All About Developmental Disabilities offers workshops and events

DECATUR, Ga. -- All About Developmental Disabilities (AADD) will host several events in May, including several workshops through their Family Support Center in Decatur (125 Clairemont Ave, Suite 300, Decatur). Each workshop will help families living with developmental disabilities learn more about a specific issue, including dating and special needs trusts.

AADD’s Family Support Center (FSC), designed to serve individuals and families living with developmental disabilities in metro Atlanta and across Georgia, offers assistance during various life transitions.

May events include:

Great Prospects Dance
Be a part of a monthly social event where people with developmental disabilities get together, dance and have fun.
When: Friday, May 16, 7-9 p.m.
Where: Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2400 Old Alabama Road, Roswell (Corner of Old Alabama Road and the Connector)
Cost: Free

Job Readiness, Part 2
Speakers: Melony Robinson, Employment Specialist with AADD, Teresa Blount, Family Support Outreach Manager
When: Tuesday, May 6, 6-8 p.m.
Where: AADD’s Family Support Center 125 Clairemont Avenue, Suite 300, Decatur
Cost: $10/attendee or $15/family

Job Readiness, Part 2

A Discussion of Behavior and Behavior Intervention
Speaker: Jason Cavin, Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Director of Behavior Support and Consultation, Center for Leadership in Disability, Georgia State University
When: Thursday, May 22, 6-8 p.m.
