ROSWELL, Ga. -- Every year, the City of Roswell celebrates Drinking Water Week.

This series of events provides a unique opportunity to recognize the vital role that safe, clean water plays in everyone's lives.

This year's Drinking Water Week began on Sunday, May 1 and will end Saturday, May 7 at the Cecil B. Wood Water Treatment Plant (105 Dobbs Drive, 30075) with a Drinking Water Festival.

Activities include a tour of the plant, a water taste test, touch-a-truck, leak detection tips, food and giveaways. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
