ROSWELL, Ga. -- The Roswell Police Department is working to identify a driver who hit a woman on Ga. 400 and then drove away.

The accident happened at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday near Holcomb Bridge Road.

Roswell Police Officer Lisa Holland said David Neil Howell and his sister, 28-year-old Sarah Howell, were riding a motorcycle north on Ga. 400 when the bike clipped a median wall.

Both victims were thrown from the motorcycle. Sarah Howell, of Alpharetta, was hit by a car and killed. David Howell, who was driving, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. He was released Monday morning and promptly arrested; charges include DUI, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and vehicular homicide.

Holland said police are now searching for the car that hit Sarah Howell. It is described as a black 2005 Jeep Liberty with damage to its front passenger side.
