ROSWELL, GA -- The City of Roswell Environmental / Public Works Department will hold its 4th annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, Feb. 19.

The event is for Roswell residents only -- no commercial entities. A Roswell resident is defined as a person physically living within Roswell city limits.

Pre-registration is required; an online registration formed can be found on the Roswell Web site.

Acceptable materials include:

* Turpentine and paint thinner
* Pesticides (fertilizers, herbicides, flea and tick products, fungicides, insecticides and rodentcides
* Undiluted pool chemicals
* Household cleaners
* Fluorescent bulbs
* Propane gas cylinders
* Mercury thermometers and thermostats
* Non-rechargeable household batteries
* Aerosols
* Automotive brake fluid and used motor oil filters

Paint will not be accepted at this event. A paint recycling day will take place at Centennial High School (9310 Scott Road, 30076) on Saturday, Feb. 5.

Materials cannot be dropped off prior to the event.

Registration will be open until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11. Forms can be completed online or printed and sent to Janet Liberman either via email or faxed to 770-641-3750.
