For their project, they helped the City of Roswell with the "Storm Drain Stenciling" project. Storm Drain Stenciling is an important project that will help educate local neighborhoods about the bad effects of dumping garbage and waste down a storm drain.

The Centennial students were instrumental in placing informative stickers on all the drains throughout Martin's Landing and leaving door hangers on front doors.

UGA Grad Student Helps Connect Roswell Residents

ROSWELL, GA -- The City of Roswell is currently working with a University of Georgia graduate student to increase the number of residents who receive electronic communications from the City.

The goal of the project is to substantially increase the number of subscribers to NIXLE, Roswell Connections e-newsletter and the City's Facebook and Twitter accounts.

A temporary call center and volunteers are working to telephone citizens and encourage them to sign up. The call center will be open until Nov. 19.

"Most of our communication comes in the form of electronic communications," said Julie Brechbill, community relations manager for the City of Roswell. "We want to make sure our residents are aware of the many ways we can communicate with them to help them stay in the know on a variety of topics."

To learn more about signing up for communicating with the City of Roswell, call 678-639-7600.
